Flowers introduces herself and may have a little conversation with her co-host Brit before jumping into the main story. Despite the very few dislikes I have about the podcast, all in all, I certainly liked listening to the production and am happy with my choosing out of all of the other options I was presented with.Ī mysterious murder happened on Hill street? Ashley Flowers is ready to report it! In this true crime podcast “Crime Junkie”, Your speakers Ashley Flowers and Brittany (Brit for short) provide the listener with both questions and answers, which is exactly the type of podcast I like. Ashley Flowers is the main speaker of this podcast. Regardless, I can only assume there are not many, if at any at all, solved cases included (considering I listened to a good amount). Although, I cannot make a fair judgement on each individual episode considering I only listened to a select few. Every episode I heard was about an unsolved case, thus leaving me to wonder if my guess was correct. My favorite thing about real crime is the unpredictability I like to make guesses on who the villain is. However, I was slightly disappointed because a lot of the cases discussed were unsolved. I expected the podcast to be very similar – if not the same – to films I have seen about real crime.

Being a “Crime Junkie” myself, I’ve always loved murder mysteries and documentaries. As much as I generally enjoyed listening, I feel as though I set my expectations a bit too high.

On the other hand, as it is clear, I did not rate the podcast a full five stars.

The conversations that the hosts had made a great addition to the episodes as well, they helped me better understand what was going on and sparked some ideas I didn’t consider on my own. The details presented were always relevant and made me want to know more and want to try to solve the mystery being discussed. I enjoyed the way the podcast was organized and how the episodes were executed. Each episode involved a thorough description of the case that was focused on and would most often transition into a conversation about the hosts’ thoughts and feelings about what was just talked about. The hosts truly did a spectacular job explaining each case they discussed, they made sure to not only engage listeners, but to also include and welcome them and their ideas. The hosts would discuss significant details of each case and conversed about their thoughts and curiosities throughout. Overall, the podcast was very interesting and entertaining to listen to. The majority of the podcast’s episodes went over numerous missing persons cases and murders that really got you thinking. The real crime podcast “CrimeJunkies” hosted by Ashley Flowers and Brit Prawat was incredibly executed and extremely engaging – not to mention quite thought-provoking.
